Diego is the Director of Operations and one of the company founders. He is responsible for localization management, IT and product development. Diego is the Mastermind behind IRIS our best in class Translation Management System application helping increase productivity by 50% as well as increasing client satisfaction levels to nearly 100%. Diego is responsible for streamlining the company processes leading to our ISO 9001:2008 certification in quality management and ISO 17100 certification in Translation Management Processes.
Sergio manages all operations related to business generation and client satisfaction. He founded Idea Translations Group in 2006 and has driven company growth at a rate of 25% year after year since. Sergio holds a B.A. in Economics, a graduate degree in International Relations from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Buenos Aires. Sergio has held sales and marketing positions at Oracle, Frost & Sullivan, Apria Healthcare and Omnicare.
Maricel is the Director of Production and one of the company founders. She is in charge of all production operations, quality, and talent recruitment. Maricel is a seasoned English-Spanish translator. She has held project management, reviewer, translator and QA assurance positions and is an expert in over 15 translator productivity and quality applications to ensure the best resources and tools are used in every single project. Maricel has a B.A. in translation and is a certified public translator from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires.
José Luis is the Head of our Audiovisual/Design team. He keeps the designers aligned, and coordinates the DTP team to make sure the final files are delivered up to our clients’ expectations, at all times! He enjoys travelling and collecting rocks from all over the world, another passion besides graphic design. José Luis has been with the Idea Team since 2006, he is one of the pillars who helped the company grow. His creative ideas and his attention to detail have been our most endeavored treasures in the development of our business.
Having joined the Idea Translations team in 2012, our Senior Project Manager Yasmin is quality-oriented and permanently looking for perfection in each job we deliver. She pays the most special attention to every project detail, from launch to delivery, making sure the tasks are up to the client’s expectations, never missing a deadline! Yasmin is very keen on the use of new technologies, and has valuable experience in resource and cost management. She holds a B.A. in English-Spanish translation and is a certified sworn translator from the University of Buenos Aires.
Paola is one of the Senior Project Managers. She is in charge of customer and resources support and oversees all aspects of project coordination. From the very hand-off through project completion she ensures an on-time, on-budget and quality delivery. She performs quality checks at various stages of the process to ensure quality and accuracy, while prioritizing tasks to be completed for multiple projects. Paola has a B.A. in translation and is a certified sworn translator from the University of La Plata.
Admin & customer support
Maga is in charge of managing our administration. She interacts with our providers and clients, making sure our cash flow is always on good track, while she keeps studying to get her grade as a Public Accountant from the University of La Plata. Besides her administrative tasks, she also acts as an Office Manager, making sure everyone at the office have what they need, at the time they need it.
Saro joined the Idea team at the beginning of 2017, and together with Sergio and Mariana helps the Sales Department reach every potential business objective. We rely on his superb communication skills in the search and development of new business opportunities, both in the local and the global market. He will always provide reliable solutions to every complex project he comes across. Saro holds a BA in Public and Institutional Relations from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
Mariana is now taking a new role of Business Development Manager at Idea Translations. She is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with potential prospects. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and takes a hands-on approach to building business opportunities. She is a certified translator and has a four-years background in Project Management. Starting as a translator and a project manager helped her to truly understand what the clients’ biggest pain points are in the translation and localization market.
Sofía joined Idea Translations back in 2007. Since then, she has been our most trusted linguist and quality assurance reviewer. Sofía holds a degree in Scientific and Technical Translation from the IES en Lenguas Vivas J. R. Fernández and a Sworn Translation degree from Universidad de Belgrano. Her attention to detail and proven experience in the technical fields make her one of our most valuable members in the Production Team. She is always willing to take new linguistic challenges and deliver the best quality to our final clients.
Daniela joined the company in 2016 as our in-house Spanish Senior Translator and Editor. She ensures the English-Spanish projects reach the clients with the best quality expected. Dani is quality-oriented and very curious on the application of new translation, QA and subtitling software that can help her enhance her results. Daniela holds a B.A. in translation from the University of La Plata.
Frederico holds a BA in English from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an IT degree from Escola Técnica Estadual de São Paulo. He came to Argentina in 2015 and decided to join our team as our in-house Portuguese Translator and Editor, as he is very keen on languages. Frede is in charge of keeping our English-Portuguese team aligned so that our projects are always a success! He is the Senior Editor in our most important accounts, and provides feedback on the work of our Portuguese team so that we exceed our results with every project we deliver.
